When purchasing large and heavy exercise equipment, both transportation and assembly can be challenging due to the size, weight and complexity of the products. That is why we offer the Hermes assembly service “Delivery & assembly at your desired location” in our online shop for selected products.

You can see directly on the relevant product page whether the Hermes assembly service is available for a particular piece of exercise equipment. The service can only be booked for a product if the corresponding delivery or assembly option is shown there.

The service is offered primarily for selected treadmills, rowing machines, exercise bikes and strength-training stations. Availability may vary depending on the product.

What does the Hermes assembly service include?

The Hermes assembly service is a specialized service for large and heavy products. 
Unlike standard delivery, your order will be delivered by two trained Hermes professionals to the desired location in your home and professionally assembled according to the manufacturer’s instructions – provided the conditions at the location allow for this.

You don't have to worry about transportation or assembly.

• Professional assembly: The equipment is assembled by trained technicians according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Shipping costs & delivery time

Costs
The cost of delivery & assembly depends on the type, weight and dimensions of the exercise equipment. The price is displayed directly on the product page if this service option is available for the item in question.

Delivery time
The assembly service generally does not extend the delivery time. You will be informed well in advance of the specific delivery and assembly appointment.

When is the Hermes assembly service a good choice?

This service option is particularly recommended for:

• Treadmills

How to place your order

1. Select the product you want.
2. Select the “Delivery & assembly at your desired location” option on the product page.
3. After your order is confirmed, Hermes will contact you to arrange an appointment.
4. Two trained employees will deliver the exercise equipment to the desired location and assemble it professionally – where possible.

Important requirements for delivery & assembly

The conditions at the location must be suitable for delivery and assembly to be carried out.

Please check before placing your order that:

• Doors, hallways, stairs and any elevators are sufficiently wide and high
• The transportation route is clear, safe and able to support the load
• There are no very narrow, steep or sharply winding stairs
• Any elevator is working and large enough on the delivery day
• The assembly location is easily accessible, clean and sufficiently well lit
• Walls, floors or ceilings are strong enough and suitable for assembly

Delivery is not possible in the following examples:

Not included in the assembly service

The Hermes assembly service includes assembly only, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

It does not include:

• Connection to electricity, water or gas
• Disassembly or disposal of old equipment
• Structural modifications or special assembly work
• Assembly on unsuitable or non-load-bearing surfaces

If delivery or assembly is not possible

If the desired location or assembly is not possible due to the conditions at the location, delivery will be made to the nearest accessible location (e.g. the building entrance or apartment door). In this case, assembly will not be carried out.

If the assembly service is ordered despite clearly unsuitable conditions and delivery or assembly cannot be carried out on site, the service will be considered provided once the team has arrived.
In this case, delivery or assembly costs cannot be refunded.
