What is the Long Bar and how does it work?

The Long Bar is an extended pull bar that attaches to a cable pulley at both ends. It allows you to perform a variety of cable exercises on the Sportstech Smith Machines SXM150 and SXM200.

Which machines is the Long Bar compatible with?

The Long Bar is compatible with the Sportstech Smith Machines SXM150 and SXM200. It is included as standard with the SXM150, while it must be purchased separately for the SXM200.

Which exercises can you do with the Long Bar?

The Long Bar allows you to perform a variety of cable exercises for the whole body, including:
Lat pulldowns – Train your upper back, shoulders and arms
Cable rows – Strengthen your mid-back and improve your posture
Cable bicep curls – An effective arm workout for increased strength and definition
Triceps pushdowns – Strengthen your triceps for greater stability
Cable deadlifts – Activate your legs, glutes and lower back
Cable front raises – Specifically target your front shoulder muscles

How does the Long Bar ensure a safe and comfortable workout?

The Long Bar features knurled grip surfaces for a non-slip grip. This ensures maximum control and safety, even when lifting heavy weights.

How do you adjust the weight?

The weight adjustment method varies depending on the Smith Machine:
SXM150: Weight plates are used to load the machine, ideally from the Sportstech WP100 series (available in 5 kg, 10 kg, 15 kg and 20 kg).
SXM200: The weight is adjusted using the integrated weight blocks, allowing for easy and precise adjustment.

What is the maximum weight capacity?

The Long Bar has a maximum weight capacity of 136 kg.
