Monolift FAQ

A Monolift is a specialized training accessory that attaches to a Smith Machine and makes it easier to lift heavy weights safely. Instead of having to lift the weight from a fixed position, the Monolift automatically moves backward as you lift the weight, eliminating the need for unnecessary forward or backward movement. This promotes joint-friendly training and reduces the risk of injury.

The Monolift is a premium accessory for the Sportstech Smith Machines SXM150 and SXM200 and can be attached directly to the machines' racks. It is not compatible with other strength training machines or free-standing barbell racks.

A barbell and weight plates are required for effective training with the Monolift. Sportstech offers both an Olympic barbell and WP100 weight plates in various sizes (5 kg, 10 kg, 15 kg and 20 kg), which are ideal for use with the Monolift.

The Monolift allows you to perform a wide range of strength training exercises, especially heavy compound exercises such as:
Squats – Reduces stress on the knee and hip joints because the barbell is positioned directly in the optimal starting position
Bench press – Ensures the barbell is in the ideal position without the need to move it out of a holder
Overhead press – Supports correct posture and makes it easier to get into the starting position for pressing overhead

The Monolift is always supplied as a pair. Both holders are required to safely set down or store a barbell. The package therefore includes two units.

The maximum load capacity is 136 kg, making the Monolift suitable for advanced strength training as well.
